Bids that Require Advance Preparation

Nothing we play requires advance preparation.

General Bidding Style

Normal modern opening bids. 5 card majors, 3 card minors. NT always 15-17 (some upgrades). Pretty standard 2/1 methods.

Opening Leads AND Leads in the Middle of the Hand

4th versus NT; 3rd and low versus suits. Standard honor leads (A from AK 4 level or lower). A and Q unblock versus NT. 0 or 2 tens and nines in the middle of hand. Attitude leads otherwise in the middle of hand.

Defensive Signals

Upside down count and attitude, standard suit preference. Frequent suit preference. Try to give part information they need.
