Opening Leads AND Leads in the Middle of the Hand

4th best vs. all
Standard honors vs. all (king from both AK and KQ)
Vs. NT: Ace is power lead, Q from KQ109
4th in middle of hand if we're trying to give count, but attitude leads more frequent.

Defensive Signals

Upside-down count and attitude
Standard present count
Trump suit preference
Priority is att, count, suit pref, but is highly context-dependent.
Tend to give suit pref when dummy has stiff in suit contracts.
We signal on a "need-to-know" basis.
