General Bidding Style

5-Card Majors, 14-17 NT, 2/1 GF.
We open 11 BAL NV
May respond with very weak hand.
1 level overcalls 6+ HCP. 2-level sounder.
1M, P, 2C = GF, NAT or BAL
Usually open 1C with 3-3.
Usually open 1D with 4-4 in minors.
1-Minor usually denies a 5-card Major.
1NT could have 5-card Major (common) or 6-card minor.
New suit not forcing constructive in Comp
Preempts: wide range

Opening Leads AND Leads in the Middle of the Hand

Vs Suit: 3rd from even, low odd. A from AK unless a side singleton then King and switch shows singleton. Std. honor leads vs suits. Rusinow from length vs NT
Count or Unblock when K led vs NT or when Q stopped in dummy.
Vs. NT: 4th best, but often lead second high from bad 4 card suits.
Usually low from xxx in partner�s suit.
King asks count or unblock; Ace or Queen asks attitude;

Defensive Signals

Upside Down Count and Attitude Signals.
Signaling priority normally: Attitude, Count, Suit-Pref
Count in partner's suit if dummy wins trick-1 vs NT.
Standard suit pref with singleton in Dummy vs suits.
Occasional suit-pref in trumps.
Smith Echo vs NT (low encourages opening lead suit), except in obvious count situation.
