2 Opening shows a Weak 2 in a major
2 Opening shows a minimum opening hand with four hearts and a longer minor 2 Opening is an unsound 3 of a minor preempt In General - Non-forcing balanced club with transfers. 1 is 1+ may include any 5332 and 4=4=4=1. 1, 1 and 1 are always at least five and will never be 5332 in 1st and 2nd. 1 - 2 by us is a weak jump shift in a major (less than an invite). 1 - 1 is a forcing NT. After 1 - 1M, we play transfer rebids by opener. |
1N opening is 14-16 in 1st, 2nd and 3rd NV, otherwise 15-17.
Opening bid style is aggressive but not crazy. More conservative vulnerable. We rarely pass a 1 opening. |
Opening honor leads are Rusinow. Against NT, (except A,K or Q) an honor lead is Rusinow from 4 or more and standard otherwise. Against NT, King is power lead and Ace asks attitude. Against suits, Ace asks suit preference.
Jack denies a higher honor after T1. Length leads: Suits: 3rd from even, low from odd NT: 2nd from bad four card suits or longer and 4th best versus NT. Middle game is generally attitude but will revert to opening lead style if count is needed. |
UDCA
Reverse Smith vs NT. Where attitude is known, then suit preference applies. |
