Bids that Require Advance Preparation

We play transfer responses to 1C.
2C opening is 18-19 hcp balanced.

General Bidding Style

Short club with transfer responses, 1C is either 12-14 bal or unbal 11-20. We open most 11s, sometimes lighter with more shape. NT range is 15-17, 2C is 18-19 bal. 2D is the strong artificial opening. Preempts are vulnerability-dependent, weak 2s 6(5) cards, 3s are 6-7 cards, more aggressive in 3rd seat.

Opening Leads AND Leads in the Middle of the Hand

Leads at suit: 3rd from even/low from odd; A=Att, K=count. Unless 3rd hand has to play a high card, count should be given.
Leads at NT: 2nd/4th from interest. A/Q/J=Att, K=count.
Lead vs. 5-level: A asks suit preference, K=count

Defensive Signals

UDCA. At suit, count to partner's lead if 3rd hand does not have to play a high card. At NT, when pard leads a spot card Att should be given when dummy wins with A/K, otherwise count when 3rd hand does not play a high card. Count to opponent's lead. False count may be given when partner already knows the count or when it may help declarer more than partner.
