Very normal expert standard type style (except in competition)
1NT often upgraded with 14 and 5 card suit
Balanced 11 only opened if it's good

Opening Leads AND Leads in the Middle of the Hand

3/5 suits
2/4 NT
Attitude leads middle of hand (low = continue; high = no interest)

Defensive Signals

UDCA
Typically attitude on partner's lead, count on declarer's lead, suit preference if dummy has a singleton or continuing is clearly wrong.
First discard conveys (1) negative attitude and (2) upside-down count
Suit preference can be given in trumps or after primary signal is given or if we believe partner has led a singleton.
UD present count.
