Bids that Require Advance Preparation

Over natural 1 minor openings by the opponents, Q = weak major (multi); 2H = H + S; 2S = S + unbid minor.

Over art or quasi 1m openers, 2-level bids are Suction. (Next Higher or 2 Lower, 2NT = Rounds or Pointeds)

3NT Opener = Strong Major Preempt (Namyats)

General Bidding Style

1C strong, 1D 0+ (2+ in 3rd) and natural 2C (9-15) and 2D (9-12) both 6+. Positive responses to 1C general transfer based with follow up relay options.

Open all balanced 10 HCP NV and all 11 HCP Vul, allowed to pass 10 HCP when Vul but still frequently open. Lighter HCP possible with shape. 1NT 14-16 NT, 13 possible but uncommon. 5422, 6322, 5 card major all common.

Over our 1M:
1NT Semi-F, does not include 3 card limit raise
2C = Art GF, implies no fit
2D = Limit+, 3+ trumps
2NT = Mixed Raise
3M = Weak
Jump Shift = Nat Inv

Opening Leads AND Leads in the Middle of the Hand

3/low suits, 2/4 NT.

Rus vs Suits in known length only; Rus vs NT always from 4+ cards.

Middle of the hand leads tend to be attitude based, but can be same count (3/5 or 4) when deemed necessary.

Defensive Signals

UDCA. Rare count, common S/P. No Smith, but S/P often played in those situations.

No "Present Count" type signals, very *very* rarely we might give UD "original count" - this would often be the 3rd or 4th card played in a suit, if ever. Much more common to be extended S/P to indicate strength of interest. (Mild, strong, etc.)
