General Bidding Style

Opening with some balanced 11 counts, not all.
3rd seat might open light especially white against red. We could do open for lead-directional purposes.
1NT opening is 14+ -17 normal upgrading and downgrading is possible

Opening Leads AND Leads in the Middle of the Hand

3rd and low against suits
4th in NT - could lead highest or second highest from bad suits.
Rusinow leads in NT with Power King. Rusinow tends to be from 4+, with the usual exceptions for KQx.
Lead of Ace agaisnt NT asks for partner to encourage with length (want continue with high next)
Coded 9s and 10s midhand only into or through the queen or jack in dummy. (Unless making a surrounding play)
otherwise midhand is just attitude-based. Might shift to 9 from J9x for lead holding purposes etc.
3rd and 5th shifts midhand is normal against suits, can deviate for attitude purposes.
NT, midhand we tend to shift 4th from interest.

Defensive Signals

upside down count and attitude.
remaining count signals are standard if given
regular smith echo in NT
Trump suit preference
might give suit preference or count when declarer leads, depending on what we think partner needs more.
3-way suit preference signals apply when partner has preempted a suit and we lead it against a suit contract.
