Bids that Require Advance Preparation

Only convention we use that might require defense prep is Flannery 2D.

General Bidding Style

We are pretty much down the middle by modern standards. Might open light in third seat (good 8?) but not super-light 15-17 notrump (occasional good 14). We play 2 over 1 game force. Infrequent 4 card major in 3rd seat, but mostly 5.
Our preempts can be light but not insane.

Opening Leads AND Leads in the Middle of the Hand

4th against NT, 3rd from even and low from odd against suits. We usually don't vary these for attitude on OL. A from AK (K at 4+ level if we have bid and raised the suit) A is power lead vs NT.

During the had we play 10 or 9 shows 0 or 2 higher. We may lead a high spot to let partner know we don't have an honor.

Defensive Signals

We play standard signals in all situations. Our priority is attitude before count. We give count when we think partner will need it
