Bids that Require Advance Preparation

mixed raises;
1m-2H = 10-12 balanced;
1m - 2S = limit raise in minor;
1H-2S or 1S-3C = limit raise;
art. jumps after opening 1 major;
2N in comp often 4 card limit raise;
opening 3N = 4M preempt

General Bidding Style

2/1 GF; 5 card majors; tend not to open balanced 11 counts; may open better minor; 15-17 NT's may include 5c major or 6c minor; Aggressive bidding NV; 2D=bad weak 2 Major, 2M=good weak 2 Major

Opening Leads AND Leads in the Middle of the Hand

4th or 2nd from bad suits, but 3rd or 5th in partner's suit. Subsequent leads are attitude.
K = count or unblock vs. NT. Smith vs. NT.

Defensive Signals

standard signals at trick one. upside down count and attitude after trick 1, suit preference in trumps. attitude takes priority when partner leads or discards. Suit Preference more likely than count.
