Bids that Require Advance Preparation
| We play precision system.
1  opening = 16+HCP any unbalanced hand or 17+HCP (except 20-21 HCP) balanced hand.
2 opening = 11-15HCP, 5+4M or 6+
2  opening = 11-15HCP, three suited with short (4-4-1-4 or 4-4-0-5)
double after strong NT = 5+m / 4M |
General Bidding Style
| We frequently open good 10HCP hands. We open light and may open good four-card major at 3rd place. Preemptive openings are aggressive at non-vulnerable, and extremely aggressive at 3rd place non-vulnerable. 1NT opening = 14-16HCP, 2NT opening = 20-21HCP. |
Opening Leads AND Leads in the Middle of the Hand
| Opening leads: 3rd/5th vs suit, 2nd/4th vs NT; 0\2 lead. Default to lead 3rd/5th in the middle of the hand. May lead attitude in special situations. |
Defensive Signals
| Standard signals. Attitude > Count > S/P.
Odd/Even first discard. Odd is encouraging and Even is S/P. Reverse counting on trump suits. Reverse smith signal. Almost always signal at partner's lead. Only necessary signal at declarer's lead. |
