Bids that Require Advance Preparation

Multi 2D: 2D is a random, wide-ranging weak 2 bid in either Major, with a 5, 6 or 7 card suit
opening 3N = 4M preempt; promises a very good suit
1C-(P)-2D = a weak 2 bid in either Major
mixed raises;
1m-2H = 10-12 balanced;
1m - 2S = limit raise in minor;
1H-2S or 1S-3C = limit raise up to a bad 4-card game forcing raise;
mini & maxi splinters
2N in comp often 4 card limit raise;

General Bidding Style

2/1 GF;
5 card majors;
tend not to open balanced 11 counts;
may open better minor;
14+-17 NT's may include 5c major or 6c minor;
Aggressive bidding NV;
third seat openers may be very light and simply lead directing

Opening Leads AND Leads in the Middle of the Hand

4th or 2nd from bad suits, but 3rd or 5th in partner's suit.
Subsequent leads are attitude.
K = count or unblock vs. NT.
