Bids that Require Advance Preparation

Natural 2/1 with standard leads and carding.
No special defense required vs our system.

General Bidding Style

We open fairly standard, not extreme light, except possible in third position NV.
Almost all balanced 11 counts are passed.
We like to preempt in first nv vs vul, so this could easily be a 5 card suit. All our other preempts are 6+ cards, nothing weird.

Opening Leads AND Leads in the Middle of the Hand

We lead 4th (2nd)vs NT.
K vs NT asks for unblock or count, Q is either from KQ holding or standard QJ holding.

We lead 4th (and 2nd) vs suit contracts.

In the middle of the hand we play a lot of attitude and suit preference. Play of 9 in any suit alerts partner - could be looking for a ruff or other holding. Lead of T in the middle of the hand shows zero or two higher cards.

Defensive Signals

Standard carding throughout and standard smith. Lot of count signals. Frequent suit preference signals in many situations. Also in the trump suit. we signal fairly frequent. Play of high trump may show opportunity to ruff or suit preference.
