fairly conservative opening bid style with balanced hands. Open with 11 only with a reason and will pass some 12's( and Glenn in particular might pass with a really bad 13 vul. More aggressive unbalanced. Vulnerability and position always matter.
Similar preemptive style. Weak 2 rarely 5 and might be 7 vul. Jeff slightly more aggressive with all opening bids. 1M and 1 ![]() We don't go out of our way to violate system, but it's always possible. In particular when describing shape artificially may show singleton K as a doubleton 4d5c normally opens 1c 1m opening can be very strong. |
rusinow leads in following situations:
from 4+ vs. NT When we've promised length vs. suits (std in partner's suit) 5 level + the opponents opened with a preempt 4th vs NT(2nd best optional from bad suits), 3/low vs. suits (high from bad suit if we've raised or we think denying an honor is best) 0/2 higher through declarer with Q in dummy |
UDCA except T1 on AK lead
SP trick 1 when we've shown 5+ If singleton in dummy SP when a continuation can't be necessary to establish a trick Smith -- std by 3rd hand, ud by leader vs NT trump sp Tend to signal frequently early in the hand. Priority is attitude, count, SP |
