About the Players
Hakan Berk

Hakan is from Rockville, Maryland and has been playing bridge since he was 10 years old. His dad was his first teacher and got him into the game and Hakan can never thank him enough for that. Currently, Hakan is 20 and in his junior year studying Electrical Engineering at the University of Maryland. In his free time he likes to play basketball and soccer with his friends, and volunteers to promote STEM at local middle schools. |

Matt Weingarten, 23, was exposed to Bridge in an after-school program during middle school and has never looked back since. Loving its dependence on logic and critical thinking, he tries to play whenever he can get a chance.
A graduate of the University of Florida with a degree in Computer Science, Matt now works at Nielsen as a software developer. When he's not playing Bridge, a rarity, he enjoys playing/watching sports. Unfortunately, his two favorite teams (Florida Gators and Tampa Bay Buccaneers) have been struggling for years, making Matt question why he subjects himself to such torture
