General Format

The USA2 Round of 64 will be a 3-way with 2 survivors. Each team will play 28 boards against each other team on Sunday, April 30th.

If one team is leading each of its matches by 42 IMPs or more (1.5 IMPs per remaining board), that team will qualify for the Round of 32 starting on Tuesday, and the other two teams will continue their head to head match with 60 boards played on Monday to determine the second qualifier.

Otherwise, the 3 teams will play another 14 boards against each other team in the first session on Monday. If one team is leading both of its matches by 42 IMPs or more (3 IMPs per remaining board), that team will qualify and the other two teams will continue their head to head match with 30 boards in the second session to determine the second qualifier.

Finally, if no team is ahead in both matches by 42 IMPs or more, the three teams will play another 14 boards against each other team the second session on Monday.

The qualifiers for USA2 Round of 64 will be determined as follows:

1. If one team has won both of its matches, it qualifies and the winner of the head to head match between the other two teams is the second qualifier.

2. If one team has lost both of its matches, the other two teams qualify.

3. If each team has won one match and lost one match, the teams will be ranked by total net IMPs and the top two will qualify.
