I am not interest in being slated.

The USBF has been requested to send a Women’s team to the 2015 Hua Yuan Cup, to be held in Beijing, China from November 8th through the 14th, 2015. The USBF will follow the same procedure that has been used to select  SportAccord & Hua Yuan teams for several years. Pairs are being asked to nominate themselves for selection and the players who competed in the finals of the last five Women's USBCs, will rank those players. Click here to see the Women's voters' list.

The U.S., England, France, Indonesia, Italy and the Netherlands have been invited to participate in the event, along with two teams from China. There will be a team event and a pair event. There is a substantial prize fund. All players will receive enough prize money to pay for coach airfare. The organizers will also provide up to 8 twin hotel rooms at the Beijing Riverside Hotel in the Beijing Garden District and some meals. Click here for more details of the event and the prize structure.

Any interested pair, who feels there is a chance they may be considered by their peers as a potential representative, may request to be included on the slate.  There is no requirement that a player submit her regular partnership.  However, the voters will be ranking the best pairs, and a non-regular partnership may not be considered as highly as those players might be considered in their regular partnerships.

By choosing to slate your pair, you are indicating your willingness to play in the event, if invited.  The polling will take place about a week after the deadline for slating, with both the individual voting and the ranking of pairs completely confidential.

If you would like to be added to the slate, you must respond by July 15th.  Just hit reply to this e-mail, with the name of your partner and say you wish to be slated.  Alternatively, replying that you are not interested is also helpful.

Sincerely,
USBF Board of Directors
