About the Players
Reese Koppel
Reese Koppel is a 16 year old sophomore from Metairie in suburban New Orleans, Louisiana. Reese learned to play bridge on Bridge Base Online with just an Audrey Grant bidding basics pamphlet, and began to learn from the criticism he received from aggravated online partners. He then went to his local bridge club, Unit 134 in Metairie, where he was warmly welcomed and encouraged to develop his growing passion for the game. The USBF Junior Training, and his mentor Jim Munday, have dramatically improved his bridge. He currently teaches bridge at a retirement home as well on Saturday mornings. Reese also plays tennis and golf, as well as tenor saxophone, piano, and chess (he is the president of his school's chess club). Reese is a passionate New Orleans Pelicans fan, and he is a season ticket holder who attends most games. |

Hunter McClain
Hi, my name is Hunter McClain. I'm currently 16 (17 by the time this will be viewed). I'm a junior at Nation Ford High school in Fort Mill, SC. I've been playing bridge for about 2 and a half years. I started playing bridge when I was 14, and my dad taught me how to play. I currently have about 230 master points, give or take a few. Recently, I was on the winning squad of the 0-1500 micro spingold team, and placed 3/4th in GNT Cs. In addition to bridge, I enjoy reading, playing video games, and sleeping. |
