New Board Members Elected
The deadline for petition candidates for the USBF Board has now passed and no election is necessary with two open Board positions and two nominations. So congratulations or commiserations to Sam Dinkin and Christal Henner, both of whom will join the Board for the first time and will serve from January 1, 2026 through December 31, 2028.

2025 Election Information
This Fall the USBF will conduct an election to fill 2 seats on its Board of Directors. The seats are for three-year terms commencing January 1, 2026.
Nominees must be Active USBF members, having paid the 2025 annual active or resident member dues of $50.
If you are interested in being nominated,
The USBF Nominating Committee will meet and may interview potential Board candidates. The Nominating Committee slate will be posted no later than October 24, 2024.
In addition to those candidates nominated by the nominating committee, candidates may be nominated by petition. Twenty-five or more Active or Resident Members of USBF may nominate an Active or Resident Member for a Board position. To file a petition nominating a candidate,

CONGRATULATIONS TO USBF TEAMS IN WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP!
USBF teams had an amazing World Championships, winning Gold in two of the major events and also in three Transnational events, as well as Bronze in one main event and one Transnational event. Pictures coming as soon as your exhausted reporter can manage to collect them.
BERMUDA BOWL - Open Teams - GOLD
USA1 (Kevin Bathurst-John Hurd, Adam Grossack-Eddie Wold, Adam Kaplan-Finn Kolesnik, Bob Morris NPC) won the Gold Medal, beating Denmark in the Final, Belgium in the Semi-Final, and England in the Quarterfinal, after finishing third in the Round Robin.

D'ORSI CUP - Senior Teams - Gold & Bronze
USA1 (Jeff Wolfson-Steve Garner, David Berkowitz-Larry Cohen, Michael Kamil-Jeff Meckstroth, Jan Martel NPC, Chip Martel Coach) won the Gold Medal, beating France in the Final, USA2 in the Semi-Final, and England in the Quarterfinl, after finishing first in the Round Robin.

USA2 (Reese MilnerHemant Lall, Bobby Levin-Eric Rodwell, Zia Mahmood-Alan Sontag, NPC Phil Clayton, Coach Joyjit Sansarma) won the Bronize, beating Austria in the 3rd-4th playoff and Netherlands in the Quarterfinal, after finishing a very close second in the Round Robin (there were 9 Victory Points between first & second, 50 Victory Points between second & third).
TRANSNATIONAL OPEN TAMS - Gold, Silver & Bronze
SPS Construction (Jacek Pszczola from the USBF with a supporting cast of Poland players), Shourie (Rajath Shourie from the USBF with a mostly European supporting cast) won Silver. Davinci (USBF players Chris Compton-Richard Leonardon, Geoff Hampson-Mike Passell, with Simon de Wijs-Bauke Muller from the Netherlands) won Bronze, beating Norway in the playoff.
TRANSNATIONAL BOARD-A-MATCH TEAMS - Gold
FINAL A: Open USA2 (Andrew Rosenthal-Aaron Silverstein, Eldad Ginossar-Chris Willenken, Michael Rosenberg-Zach Grossack, NPC Rob Barrington).
FINAL B: USBF member Geeske Joel, with a supporting cast from Germany & Netherlands.
OTHER FINISHES - no medals, but a great performance:

Fifth through Eighth: USA2 (Andrew Rosenthal-Aaron Silverstein, Eldad Ginossar-Chris Willenken, Michael Rosenberg-Zach Grossack, NPC Rob Barrington)
VENICE CUP - Women's Teams
USA2 (Susan Zhang-Sylvia Shi, Migry Campanile-Janice Molson, Jill Meyers-Kerri Sanborn, NPC Josh Dunn) finished 5th-8th, losing a 3 IMP match to Poland in the Quarterfinal, after finishing 6th in the Round Robin.
USA1 (Lynn Baker-Olivia Schireson, Amber Lin-Debbie Rosenberg, Emma Kolesnik-JoAnna Stansby, NPC Joe Stokes) finished 13th in the Round Robin.
WUHAN CUP - Mixed Teams
USA1 (Stewart Rubenstein-Anam Tebha, Giorgia Botta-John Kranyak, Vince Demuy-Jenny Wolpert, Harrison Luba, NPC, Christina Parker, Coach) finished 4th, losing the 3rd-4th playoff to Poland, after losing to Italy in the Semi-final, defeating Romania in the Quarterfinal, and finishing first in the Round Robin.
USA2 (Joan Millens-Shan Huang, Cecilia & Kevin Dwyer Rimstedt, Joe Grue-Sandra Rimstedt, Alex Hudson NPC) finished 5th-8th, losing a close match to Italy in the Quarterfinal, after finishing 6th in the Round Robin.
